GoHighLevel Alternatives for Coaches: 7 Options Compared (Price, Features, Fit)

The best GoHighLevel alternative depends on the one job you need done. Pick Kajabi or ClickFunnels for courses and funnel pages, Kit for email only, Close for a phone sales team, Systeme.io for the lowest price, and HubSpot or Keap for a classic CRM. If you need funnels, calendars, texts and a pipeline in one place, GoHighLevel at $97 a month is still hard to beat.

One client's booking flow, built on GoHighLevel, booked 664 sales calls in three months. Results are not typical.

1Why do coaches look for a GoHighLevel alternative?

Before you switch, check whether the tool is the problem or the setup. A messy account moved to a new tool is still messy. Our GoHighLevel review covers what it does well and badly.

2How do the 7 alternatives compare to GoHighLevel?

Prices are the lowest paid plan billed monthly, in US dollars. A green "yes" means the official site lists the feature. "Not listed" means we could not find it on the official pricing or features page, so check before you buy.

4When is each alternative the better pick?

ClickFunnels: better if pages and products are the whole business

Pick it if you sell courses, books or products straight from funnel pages and want a builder made for that. Launch is $97 a month ($81 billed yearly) with 10,000 contacts, 2 admins, 5 domains and 3 courses. There is a 30-day money-back guarantee.

Skip it if you book sales calls. Launch shows no calendars. Calendars start on Scale at $197 a month. See the full ClickFunnels vs GoHighLevel breakdown with a cost calculator.

Kajabi: better for a polished course business

Pick it if your main product is a course or membership and you want it to look great with little setup. Basic is $179 a month ($143 billed yearly) with 5 products, 2,500 contacts and 2 admins. Kajabi Payments costs 2.9% plus 30 cents a sale in the US on Basic.

Skip it if you need texts, a sales pipeline or call booking. We could not find them on the pricing page, so most coaches add other tools.

Kit (ConvertKit): better if email is all you need

Pick it if you run a newsletter and sell digital products. The free plan covers up to 10,000 subscribers. Automations and email sequences start on Creator at $33 a month for 1,000 subscribers. Sales cost 3.5% plus 30 cents.

Skip it if you need booking, texts or deal tracking. Kit is an email tool, not a CRM.

Close: better for a team that lives on the phone

Pick it if your closers or setters make lots of calls. Calling and texts are built in and passed through at cost (about $0.02 a minute). Bulk email, workflows and a power dialer start on Growth at $109 per user a month ($99 yearly). Scale adds a predictive dialer.

Skip it if you also need funnel pages, a course or a cheap solo setup. Close is a sales CRM only, and per-user pricing adds up fast.

Systeme.io: better on a tight budget

Pick it if you are starting out. The free plan gives 2,000 contacts, 3 funnels and 1 course with no card. Paid plans are $17, $47 (adds evergreen webinars) and $97 a month, with 0% transaction fees.

Skip it if you run a busy sales team. Its pricing page lists a calendar, pipelines and SMS, but it does not show which plan gets each one, so test them in the trial first.

Keap: better for a small firm that wants support and one simple bill

Pick it if you want a CRM with pipeline, booking, payments, landing pages and texts in one tool. It is $299 a month ($2,988 a year) with 2 users. Extra users are $39 a month. US texts include 500 messages and 100 voice minutes.

Skip it if price matters. It costs about three times GoHighLevel's entry plan and texting is US only.

HubSpot: better for a bigger team that needs reporting

Pick it if you have marketers and a sales team who need one shared record and strong reports. The free plan covers 2 users. Marketing Hub Starter is listed from $7 to $20 a seat a month, with a new-customer offer, and includes 1,000 marketing contacts.

Skip it if you are a small coaching business. The jump is steep: Professional starts at $800 a month with 3 seats, plus a required $3,000 onboarding fee.

5Which is better, HubSpot or GoHighLevel?

For most coaches, GoHighLevel. For a company with a real marketing team, HubSpot. GoHighLevel gives a small team funnels, calendars, texts and a pipeline for $97 a month with no contact limit. HubSpot charges by seat and by contact, and its strong tools sit on Professional at $800 a month plus $3,000 to start. HubSpot wins on reporting, ease of use and how far it can grow with you.

6Is there a free version of GoHighLevel?

No. GoHighLevel has a 14-day free trial on Starter, Unlimited and Agency Pro, then $97, $297 or $497 a month. Usage fees for texts and email can apply during the trial. If you need free, three alternatives have free plans: Systeme.io (2,000 contacts), Kit (10,000 subscribers, email only) and HubSpot (2 users).

7What must any CRM do for a coach who sells on calls?

Feature lists do not tell you much. Run these five tests in the free trial of each tool you are looking at. A tool that fails one will cost you booked calls, whatever it costs a month.

    1. Fill in your own form. A text should reach your phone within 2 minutes. Operators running high ticket funnels commonly report that a call within 60 seconds makes a close 391% more likely. No instant text or call alert means a fail. For the words your setter says on that first call, see our speed to lead guide.
    2. Book a call on mobile data, on your phone, in under a minute. A slow booking widget dropped completion to 30%. A fast hosted step brought it back to 65% to 70%.
    3. Get three reminders without touching anything: 24 hours before, the morning of, and 1 hour before. A mix of automated and personal reminders works best. See our show rate benchmarks.
    4. Fill in the form and do not book. You should get follow-up for two weeks. Plan on 8 or more texts and 8 or more calls over two weeks. About 80% of appointments come after 5 to 8 follow-ups.
    5. Find the setting that stops texts at night and caps texts per number. Keep each number under 150 texts a day and send on weekdays from about 9am to 6 or 7pm.

GoHighLevel, Keap and Close can pass all five in one tool. With Kajabi, Kit or ClickFunnels Launch you will usually add a booking tool and a texting tool. That is how our client acquisition system is wired, whatever the software.

8Is switching from GoHighLevel worth it?

Switching has a price most people skip: rebuilding every page and workflow, and paying for two tools while you do. Put in your numbers and see how long the switch takes to pay back.

    Switch or stay?
Every tool, plus texts and email.
Plan plus any tool you would still need.
Each set of pages: opt-in, booking, thank-you.
    Reminders, follow-ups, no-show texts.
A hire, or what your own hour is worth.

Our estimate from client builds: 8 hours per funnel, 2 per automation, plus 6 for setup and testing.

A missing must-have changes the answer. If your tool cannot send a reminder text, the calls it loses cost more than any software bill. If it passes all five tests, fix the setup you have. Not sure which part is broken? Before you move anything, find the exact bottleneck in your business.

9Worked example: Marcus picks a platform

Marcus is a made-up business coach. He sells a $6,000 program on sales calls. He has one setter and one closer, about 5,000 contacts, and sends about 20,000 emails and 2,000 texts a month.

    SetupMonthly costWhat is missing
    GoHighLevel Starter$97 + $13.50 email + $14.94 texts + $1.15 number = $126.59Nothing for his needs
ClickFunnels Scale$197Text costs not shown on the pricing page
Kajabi Basic$179Booking, texts and a pipeline need other tools
Keap$299Nothing for his needs; 500 texts included, then $0.015 each
Close Growth, 3 users$327 + callsFunnel pages need another tool

Marcus picks GoHighLevel and pays about $127 a month. If he had sold a course with no calls, Kajabi would have been the better pick. Text cost assumes one segment per text. For his full cost to win a client, use the client acquisition cost calculator, and see GoHighLevel pricing for every plan and fee.

    10What to do this week

    1. Write down the one job your current tool fails at. Be exact: "texts go out late" beats "it's confusing".
    2. Run the chooser above with your real team size and budget. Copy the shortlist.
    3. Start the free trial of your top two picks on the same day. Every tool here has a trial or a free plan.
    4. Run the five tests in section 7 in each trial. Time how long the build takes.
    5. Put that time into the switch calculator before you decide.
    6. Export your contacts as a CSV before you cancel anything.
    7. Pick the tool that passed the five tests, not the one with the longest feature list. Want it built for you? See if you qualify.

    Frequently asked questions

    What is better than GoHighLevel?

It depends on the job. Kajabi is better for a polished course business, Kit for email only, Close for a phone sales team, Systeme.io for the lowest price and HubSpot for a bigger team that needs reports. For a coach who sells on sales calls and wants everything in one place, few tools beat GoHighLevel at $97 a month.

Is there a free version of GoHighLevel?

No. GoHighLevel offers a 14-day free trial, then $97, $297 or $497 a month. Systeme.io, Kit and HubSpot all have free plans if you need one.

What is the monthly cost of GoHighLevel?

Starter is $97 a month, Unlimited is $297 and Agency Pro is $497, as listed on 24 October 2026. Email costs $0.675 per 1,000 sends and a US text costs $0.00747 per segment on top. See our GoHighLevel pricing page for every fee.

Which is better, HubSpot or GoHighLevel?

For most coaches, GoHighLevel, because $97 a month covers funnels, calendars, texts and a pipeline with no contact limit. HubSpot is better for a company with a marketing team that needs strong reports, but its Professional plan starts at $800 a month plus a $3,000 onboarding fee.

    Is GoHighLevel better than ClickFunnels?

For coaches who book sales calls, usually yes, because calendars, texts and a pipeline come on the $97 plan. ClickFunnels is better if you mainly sell products or courses from funnel pages. Compare both in our ClickFunnels vs GoHighLevel guide.

    Is GoHighLevel worth it?

It is worth it if someone will set it up properly and you use the calendar, reminders, texts and pipeline. It is not worth it if you only need one landing page or a newsletter. Read our full GoHighLevel review.

What is the cheapest GoHighLevel alternative?

Systeme.io and Kit both have free plans. Systeme.io paid plans start at $17 a month with 0% transaction fees, and Kit's free plan covers up to 10,000 email subscribers.

Can I move from GoHighLevel to another platform?

Yes. Export your contacts as a CSV file and import them into the new tool. Funnels, calendars and workflows do not move across, so plan to rebuild them and test every step before you cancel.
