What are Claude skills?
A Claude skill is a folder with a SKILL.md file inside that teaches Claude one job. The top of the file holds a name and a short description of when to use it. Below that sit the instructions: what to ask you, the steps to follow, the output to hand back and the checks to run first. Claude reads only the description until your request matches. Then it loads the whole skill and follows it.

How do you install Claude skills in Claude Code and claude.ai?
Claude Code and claude.ai use the same SKILL.md format, so every skill works in both. Only the install step differs.
In claude.ai
- Turn on code execution. On Free, Pro and Max plans it sits under Settings, then Capabilities. On Team and Enterprise plans an owner turns it on.
- Download the skill you want from this page. Keep it zipped.
- In Claude, go to Customize, then Skills. Click the plus button, then Create skill, then Upload a skill.
- Upload the zip and make sure the skill is switched on.
- Ask for the job, for example "Audit my client acquisition system". Claude loads the skill when your request matches.

In Claude Code
- Download the skill and unzip it into ~/.claude/skills/ for yourself, or into .claude/skills/ inside one project to share it with your team.
- Check the file sits at ~/.claude/skills/funnel-math-diagnostic/SKILL.md, with your skill's name in place of funnel-math-diagnostic.
- Start a new session. Ask for the job, or call the skill by name, like /funnel-math-diagnostic.

What are Claude skills?
Claude skills are folders of instructions that teach Claude one job. Each one has a SKILL.md file with a name, a short description of when to use it, and step-by-step instructions. Claude reads the description, and when your request matches, it loads the full skill and follows it.
Is a Claude skill just a prompt?
Partly. The instructions read like a long prompt, but a skill is installed once and loads on its own when your request matches. It also asks for the same inputs every time, carries its own benchmarks and reference files, and returns the same output format, so you stop pasting and rewriting prompts.
How do I get skills for Claude?
Pick a skill on this page and download its zip. In claude.ai, turn on code execution, go to Customize, then Skills, click the plus button, choose Create skill, then Upload a skill, and upload the zip. In Claude Code, unzip it into ~/.claude/skills/ and start a new session.
Can I use Claude skills for free?
Claude's help center lists the code execution setting that skills need on Free, Pro and Max plans, and Team and Enterprise owners turn it on for their organization. Plans and settings change, so check Claude's help center if you do not see the Skills option.
What are the official Claude skills?
Anthropic ships its own skills, for example for creating Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PDF files, and publishes example skills for anyone to copy. These skills are not official. They are made by Cashflow Coaches for coaches and consultants who sell on sales calls.
Are Claude skills actually useful?
They are most useful for work you repeat: the Monday numbers, a new ad batch, a call review, a webinar. A skill that asks for your real numbers and hands back a finished file saves the most time. For one-off questions, a normal chat is enough.
Which skill should I start with?
Answer the three questions at the top of this page and it picks the skills that fit. If you are still not sure, start with the business profile builder, then run the client acquisition system audit, which names your weakest step and the skill that fixes it.
What is a SKILL.md file?
It is a plain text file in Markdown. The top block, between two lines of three dashes, holds the skill's name and description. Below it are the instructions: what to ask you, the steps to follow, the output to hand back, and the checks to run first.
Can I use these skills in ChatGPT or other AI tools?
Yes, as prompts. Open any SKILL.md, copy everything below the top block, and paste it at the start of a chat. You lose the automatic loading that Claude does, but the steps, benchmarks and output format still work.
Do these skills cost anything?
No. Every skill is free to download. You enter your first name, last name, email and phone first, and we may follow up about your client acquisition by email, text or call.
Where do the numbers in the skills come from?
From two places: the methods we use to build funnels for coaches, and ranges that operators running high ticket funnels commonly report from their own businesses. Every benchmark is written as a range, not a promise, and the skills tell Claude to label anything it had to assume.
Do the skills send my data anywhere?
No. A skill is only a text file of instructions. It has no code that sends data. What you paste into Claude is handled by Claude under your own account and its settings.
